which bank you have the savings account? try to see if ur bank offer debit card. If not, get the debit card from public bank.

hows the fees? i got cimb and maybank only.public bank not yet open the account.

I can't find any debit card in maybank and cimb bank website, I'm afraid you have to get the card from public bank. The PB visa electron card annual fee is RM 24

I dunno about TUNE MONEY, but public bank got many branches around, should be more convenient.

If your planning to open a Paypal account to withdraw money you need to get debit/credit card with the visa logo.
For account verification any card with visa or mastercard logo will do.
Probably batter if you get the Public Bank Visa electron card, its already been proven that you can withdraw money using that card but USD$5 will be charge for every withdraw. You can apply for the card online on their website.
NexG Card can't be use to withdraw money from Paypal.

Paypal is undoubtedly the most popular way of handling your online monetary transactions. It's widely used money transfer services reaches over 190 countries worldwide not counting virtual transactions on other remaining countries. Because of it's convenience, it has become important to regulate users by stipulating a verification process. Paypal requires you to submit your credit card number in order for you to verify your account. If you're not properly verified, your account will be bombarded with various limitations that will ultimately compel you to accept their terms.

One of the limitations of an unverified account is an imposed limit on the Sending Money feature which you use to pay for items online. Personally, before my account was verified I only had a sending limit of $500. Once you've reached that limit, you have to verify your account if you ever want to use your Paypal account for online transactions.

Another important limitation is the withdrawal limits imposed on unverified accounts. This limit is also removed once you've completed the verification process. Just follow the links for instructions on how to remove withdrawal limits which also happens to be Paypal's account verification process.

Fortunately, there are other ways of verifying your Paypal account even without a credit card and still enjoy the services that Paypal has to offer. You can use your existing bank account to verify your Paypal account provided that your bank and country belongs to Paypal's approved networks. You can also verify your account through a Visa or Mastercard debit card.

Verifying through your bank account varies for each country and for each bank, for that matter, so I can't give you all the details on how to verify Paypal using this method. You will have to consult your local banks to find out the best way to integrate Paypal's features on your exisiting account.

If you have a debit card with either Visa or Mastercard, you can use this instead of a credit card and go through essentially the same process wherein Paypal gives you a verification code, charging your card a fee of USD$1.95 which will be returned to you after the verification process is completed. The fee which is reflected in your credit card statement will contain the Paypal code you need to verify your account.

First, you have to go to their site at www.paypal.com and register accordingly. After you've registered, they'll be asking you to verify your account by entering your card number, then an

option of either Visa or Mastercard and other details such as expiration dates and the Card Verification Number at the back of your existing card.

Once they've confirmed your card, they will be charging you with a fee that contains the Paypal code which you will you need to enter for your account to be verified. If you had a credit card, this code will be reflected on your billing statement but since you're using a debit card, the process might be different depending on your local bank's policies.

For me, I had to wait for an email containing the Paypal code from the bank. That was after I applied for a debit card which took about a month, but then again this all depends on your local bank's procedures. Once I entered the code, my account was eventually verified and the limits have been removed. I've not had much problems with using Paypal since. I've been receiving income through my Paypal account from the freelance work that I do. I've also used my account for paying bills, purchased items, donations and even sent money to some people so they can buy their stuff.

My only peeve is the $5 fee everytime I withdraw money to my debit card. I later found out that you can withdraw money to your bank account for free or with a smaller fee of about USD$1 if you're withdrawal amount is below their specifications. All I had to do was add my bank account, the same account I use for my debit card, and I didn't have to pay for withdrawal charges. Although, it's kind of funny how they weren't able to reconcile my debit card and bank account. I'm not a bank person so I cannot answer that for you but I hope my experience with Paypal can help you make the right choices on how to avail of their online services.

How to use PayPal with checking account information.

While PayPal does allow users to make secure purchases with their credit card through PayPal you may want to avoid credit card use online. Maybe you do not have a credit card or you are trying to lower your credit card balance.

PayPal makes using alternative payment processes easy.

Set up PayPal with a checking account or a savings account.

Go to http://www.paypal.com and log in using your e-mail address and password. If you do not have an account you can create a free buyer account (that also allows you to accept payment from other users).

After you have logged into your account go to the My Account tab on the main page. From there locate the Profile link that should be towards the right hand side of the screen. Click this link and a drop down menu appears.

Click on Edit or Add Bank Account. Next click on the Add Bank button on this page.

Select either checking or savings and enter the account's router number and account number. You can locate these numbers on a deposit slip or on a check from your bank. Routing numbers are located on the left hand side of a check with account numbers displayed on the right hand side.

Click Continue to finish and confirm. You will receive small amounts of money known as test deposits into the linked account in a few days. When you see this amount on your bank statement or when you call the bank to ask about any small (literally a few cents) deposits write down the amounts.

Log into PayPal and go back to the Profile section and Edit or Add Bank Account. Click the Confirm button next to the added account and provide the dollar amounts of the small deposits.

Once you have completed these steps you can use your PayPal account to pay for purchases online without exposing your bank account information to websites. You can also accept payments from other PayPal users. You can transfer money from your PayPal account to your linked bank accounts as well.

You can also link debit cards to a PayPal account or you can get a special PayPal debit card that allows you direct access to any funds in your PayPal account without transferring money back to a bank account.
